Section 286.118 - Certain information deemed to be confidential; certain information deemed to be public records; limitations on disclosure of confidential information1. Except as otherwise provided in this section, all information about a current or former member of a public retirement system administered by the Board, or a beneficiary of such a member, which is contained in a record or file in the possession, control or custody of the Board is confidential regardless of the form, location and manner of creation or storage of a record or file containing the information.2. The following information about a current or former member of such a public retirement system which is contained in a record or file in the possession, control or custody of the Board is a public record:(a) The name of the current or former member; and(b) The amount of annual pension benefit paid to the current or former member.3. The Board may only disclose information made confidential pursuant to subsection 1 to a third party if: (a) Such disclosure is necessary for the Board to carry out its duties; and(b) The Board executes a confidentiality agreement with the third party before providing the third party with any confidential information.Added to NRS by 2019, 1174Added by 2019, Ch. 212,§1, eff. 7/1/2019.
