Section 244.3823 - Criteria for selection of recipients In awarding individual medical scholarships, the board of county commissioners may:
1. Require applicants to obtain a prior review of their qualifications and approval thereof by the board of hospital trustees of the public hospital in the county or of a designated public hospital.2. Give preference to applicants whose residence and personal ties in the local community indicate the likelihood of a return to permanent residency and practice in the community.3. Determine the amount and duration of payments and other matters involved in scholarship grants.4.
