Section 119A.677 - Application or registration must not be denied based solely on immigration or citizenship status; use of alternative personally identifying number; disclosure of social security number or personally identifying number prohibited; confidentiality of social security number or alternative personally identifying number1. The Administrator or the Division, as applicable, shall not deny the application of a person for a sales agent's license pursuant to NRS 119A.210, a registration as a representative pursuant to NRS 119A.240 or a registration as a manager of a project pursuant to NRS 119A.532 based solely on his or her immigration or citizenship status.2. Notwithstanding the provisions of NRS 119A.210, 119A.240 and 119A.532, an applicant for a sales agent's license or a registration as a representative or a manager of a project who does not have a social security number must provide an alternative personally identifying number, including, without limitation, his or her individual taxpayer identification number, when completing an application.3. The Administrator or the Division, as applicable, shall not disclose to any person who is not employed by the Administrator or the Division the social security number or alternative personally identifying number, including, without limitation, an individual taxpayer identification number, of an applicant for a license for any purpose except:(b) Licensing purposes; and(c) Enforcement of an order for the payment of child support.4. A social security number or alternative personally identifying number, including, without limitation, an individual taxpayer identification number, provided to the Administrator or the Division, as applicable, is confidential and is not a public record for the purposes of chapter 239 of NRS.Added to NRS by 2019, 4334Added by 2019, Ch. 627,§113, eff. 7/1/2019.
