Unless the context requires otherwise, in this part the following definitions apply:
§ 82-4-203, MCA
Contingent Termination: Section 6 of Laws 2023, Ch. 524 provides: "[This act] terminates on the date that the department of environmental quality certifies to the code commissioner that the office of surface mining of the United States department of the interior disapproves the changes to Montana's program that are provided in [this act]. The department of environmental quality shall submit certification within 60 days of the occurrence of the contingency."
Contingent Voidness: Section 5 of Laws 2023, Ch. 631 provides:
"(1) If the United States secretary of the interior disapproves any provision of [this act] pursuant to 30 CFR 732, then that portion of [this act] is void.
"(2) The department of environmental quality shall notify the code commissioner of a disapproval under subsection (1) within 15 days of the effective date of the disapproval."
