Section 76-1-408 - Acceptance and administration of gifts and donations(1) A city, county, or city-county planning board organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter is hereby empowered and given the right to:(a) accept, receive, take, hold, own, and possess any gift, donation, grant, devise, or bequest or any property (real, personal, or mixed) or any improved or unimproved park or playground; and(b) utilize, hold, or dispose of the same for planning purposes not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter.(2) Any money so accepted shall be deposited with the city or county in a special nonreverting planning board fund to be available for expenditures by the planning board for the purpose designated by the donor. The disbursing officer of a city or county shall draw warrants against such special nonreverting fund only upon vouchers signed by the president and secretary of the planning board.En.
