Section 7-6-4601 - Deposit of public money

The city treasurer or town clerk, whichever is appropriate, shall deposit all public money in the treasurer's or clerk's possession and under the treasurer's or clerk's control, except as may be required for current business, only in any solvent bank or banks located in the city or town and subject to national supervision or state examination, as the council shall designate.
