Mont. Code § 50-20-1005

Section 50-20-1005 - Professional sanctions - civil fines - enforcement
(1) A physician or physician assistant who purposely or knowingly violates 50-20-1003 commits unprofessional conduct, and the person's license to practice medicine in Montana must be suspended for a minimum of 1 year pursuant to Title 37.
(2) A physician or physician assistant who purposely or knowingly delivers to the department a report required under 50-20-1004 that is known by the person to contain false information shall be subject to a fine of $2,000 imposed by the department.
(3) A physician or physician assistant who purposely or knowingly fails to file with the department a report required under 50-20-1004 shall be subject to a fine of $1,000 imposed by the department.
(4) The attorney general may enforce the provisions of this part on behalf of the department. The department also has the authority to bring an action.

§ 50-20-1005, MCA

Effective date: Section 11 of Laws 2023, Ch. 490 provides:

"(1) Except as provided in subsection (2), [this act] is effective on passage and approval.

"(2) [Section 4] and [section 5(2) and (3)] are effective on the later of:

"(a) passage and approval; or

"(b) the date the department of public health and human services certifies in writing to the code commissioner that the form required under [section 4] has been created."
