Section 44-5-105 - Department of justice - powersThe department of justice may:
(1) adopt rules necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter;(2) hear and decide contested cases or challenges that may arise under the provisions of the Montana Administrative Procedure Act;(3) conduct audits of the criminal history record information systems of a representative sample of state and local criminal justice agencies chosen annually on a random basis to determine whether they are in compliance with the provisions of this chapter.En.
