Section 40-5-313 - Obligor rights protected - penalties(1) An employer may not discharge, discipline, or refuse to hire a person because: (a) the person has a child support obligation;(b) a withholding order has been issued for the person's income; or(c) proceedings have been initiated under this part.(2) An employer who violates the provisions of this section may be fined not more than $100.En.
