Section 16-4-211 - Resort area - purpose - policy

It is the intent and purpose of 16-4-211 through 16-4-213 to encourage the growth of quality recreational resort facilities in undeveloped areas of the state and to provide for the orderly growth of existing recreational sites by the establishment of resort areas within which retail all-beverages licenses may be issued by the department under the terms of 16-4-213.

Section 15 of Laws 2019, Ch. 336 provides: "Applicability. Existing resort area designations issued before [the effective date of this act] are not subject to the application requirements of [section 2] but are subject to [section 3]. On and after [the effective date of this act], resort area designations and resort retail all-beverages license applications will be reviewed and processed under the conditions set forth in [sections 2 and 3]."
