Section 375.841 - Change of name by foreign or alien company, application for amended certificate, how made1. In the event that a foreign or alien insurance company authorized to transact business in this state changes its name or desires to transact in this state kinds of business other than those it is then authorized to transact, it shall file with the director an application for an amended certificate of authority.2. The application shall comply as to form and manner of execution with the requirements of this chapter for an original application and shall set forth the name of the company, the respects in which the company desires its certificate of authority amended, and such other information as is necessary or appropriate to enable the director to determine whether an amended certificate of authority should be issued.3. The director shall issue the amended certificate if he is satisfied that:(1) The company might lawfully be authorized to transact the kinds of business it desires to transact if application for authority were made in an original application; and(2) The conditions provided for in section 375.821 are complied with.
