Section 162.1061 - Transfer corporations (metropolitan schools), computation of state aidOther provisions of law to the contrary notwithstanding, a transfer corporation formed pursuant to section 162.1060 shall receive state aid as calculated in this section:
(1) For purposes of determining weighted average daily attendance pursuant to section 163.011 and for the purposes of determining state aid pursuant to sections 163.031, 163.043, and 163.087 and any other source of state aid distributed on a per-pupil basis, students attending a district other than their district of residence pursuant to a court-approved transfer program shall be credited to, and all related per-pupil aid shall be paid to, the transfer corporation instead of to any other district. The weighted average daily attendance and state aid calculation for the transfer corporation shall be treated on the same basis as the calculation for a separate school district; and(2) For the eighth year of operation and thereafter, the transfer corporation shall receive transportation state aid for each student that participates in the transfer program in the amount of one hundred fifty-five percent of the statewide average per-pupil cost for transportation for the second preceding school year provided that such aid shall not exceed seventy-five percent of necessary transportation costs.
