Section 41.440 - Active duty - expenses allowed1. Whenever an officer, warrant officer, flight officer or enlisted person of the organized militia is on active duty in the state service under circumstances involving travel without troops, he shall receive, in addition to his pay, the necessary and actual expenses incident to such duty for the period of absence from his home station, in accordance with instructions prescribed by the adjutant general and approved by the commissioner of administration.2. Whenever an officer, warrant officer, flight officer or enlisted person of the Armed Forces of the United States detailed to the state as an instructor of organized militia or in any other capacity with the organized militia is requested by authority of the governor to perform special duty involving travel not directed by the federal government, such officer, warrant officer, flight officer or enlisted person shall receive the actual expenses incident to such duty and travel for the period of his absence from his home station, in accordance with instructions prescribed by the adjutant general and approved by the commissioner of administration.
