Section 45-23-23 - Examination for inspectors(1) The examination for chief, deputy or special inspector shall be in writing and shall be by the merit system of the board under the rules of procedure during the examination. Application for examination shall be in writing on forms provided by the board and shall be accompanied by a fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00). Any increase in the fee charged by the board under this subsection shall be in accordance with the provisions of Section 41-3-65.
