Section 600.8825 - Acceptance of fee by law enforcement officer prohibited(1) A law enforcement officer issuing a citation under this chapter for a state civil infraction shall not accept a fee for issuing the citation.(2) A law enforcement officer who violates this section is guilty of misconduct in office and subject to removal from office.Add. 1995, Act 54, Eff. 1/1/1996.
