Section 450.135 - Parent corporations; ritual, rules; subordinate lodges, chartering

Same; ritual, and rules; chartering of subordinate lodges. Every such parent corporation shall have the right to prescribe the ritual to be used in all the secret work of such lodge or society, the oath or other obligations to be taken by members or officers, and to enact by-laws, rules and regulations having uniform application throughout the organization. Such parent corporation shall have the right to organize and charter subordinate lodges or societies thereof, and to enact a system of discipline to which all such subordinate lodges and individual members may be compelled to conform under pain of expulsion therefrom; and to prescribe the terms and conditions under which such subordinate lodges and members may be admitted, retained in good standing or suspended or expelled from such membership. Such parent corporation may delegate to its officers, committees and to subordinate jurisdictions, such functions and powers as the articles or by-laws of such corporation may from time to time prescribe, not inconsistent with the laws of this state.
