Section 408.1108 - [Effective 4/2/2025] Violation of act; penalty; liability(1) In addition to any other sanction provided for in this act, a person that violates this act is subject to a civil fine of not more than $5,000.00. The prosecutor of the county in which the violation occurred or the attorney general may bring an action to collect the fine.(2) A contractor and its subcontractor are jointly and severally liable for a violation of this act.Amended by 2024, Act 110,s 4, eff. 4/2/2025.Added by 2023, Act 10,s 8, eff. 2/13/2024.This section is set out more than once due to postponed, multiple, or conflicting amendments.
