Section 388.1881 - Martin Luther King, Jr. - Cesar Chavez - Rosa Parks initiative for Morris Hood, Jr. educator development program(1) Included in the appropriation for fiscal year 2023-2024 for each public university in section 236 is funding under the Martin Luther King, Jr. - Cesar Chavez - Rosa Parks initiative for the Morris Hood, Jr. educator development program, which is intended to increase the number of academically or economically disadvantaged students who enroll in and complete K-12 teacher education programs at the baccalaureate level and teach in this state. Preference may not be given to participants on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, gender, or national origin.
