Section 388.1854 - State competitive scholarship and tuition grant programs; tuition incentive program; Michigan achievement scholarship; paymentsThe sums appropriated in section 236 for the state competitive scholarship, tuition incentive, and tuition grant programs must be paid out of the state treasury and must be distributed to the respective institutions under a quarterly payment system as follows:
(a) For the state competitive scholarship and tuition grant programs, 50% must be paid at the beginning of the state's first fiscal quarter, 30% during the state's second fiscal quarter, 10% during the state's third fiscal quarter, and 10% during the state's fourth fiscal quarter.(b) For the tuition incentive program and Michigan achievement scholarship, 65% must be paid at the beginning of the state's first fiscal quarter, and 35% during the state's second fiscal quarter.Amended by 2023, Act 103,s 212, eff. 10/1/2023.Amended by 2017, Act 108,s 128, eff. 10/1/2017.Amended by 2016, Act 249,s 124, eff. 10/1/2016.Amended by 2012, Act 201,s 113, eff. 10/1/2012.Added by 2011, Act 62,s 101, eff. 10/1/2011.
