Section 333.16317 - Fees; limitation on increase; schedule(1) Except as otherwise provided in section 16343, at the beginning of each state fiscal year, the department may increase the fees collected under sections 16319 to 16349 by a percentage amount equal to not more than the average percentage wage and salary increase granted for that fiscal year to classified civil service employees employed by the department.(2) If the department increases fees under subsection (1), the increase is effective for that fiscal year. The department shall use the increased fees as the basis for calculating fee increases in subsequent fiscal years.(3) By August 1 of each year the department shall provide to the director of the department of management and budget and the chairpersons of the appropriations committees of the senate and house of representatives a complete schedule of fees to be collected under sections 16319 to 16349 for the following fiscal year.Amended by 2022, Act 254,s 1, eff. 3/29/2023.Add. 1993, Act 80, Eff. 4/1/1994.
