Section 259.80c - Disposal of wrecked aircraft; report by participants in accident; admission of investigations or hearings as evidence; testimony as expert witness(1) An aircraft owner, pilot, or authorized agent is responsible for the prompt disposal of a wrecked aircraft and its parts to avoid interference with aircraft operations, unless specifically directed by the airport manager, commission, state police, or appropriate federal agency to delay removal pending investigation.(2) Participants in an accident at or near a licensed aeronautical facility shall report to the airport manager or responsible authorities as soon after an accident as possible, furnishing their names, addresses, and rendering required reports.(3) Reports of investigations or hearings, or any part of investigations or hearings, shall not be admitted in evidence or used for any purpose pertaining to a matter referred to in an investigation, hearing, or report, except in case of criminal or other proceedings in behalf of the commission.(4) An officer or employee of the commission or the state transportation department shall not be required to testify as an expert witness in an action involving an aircraft.Add. 1996, Act 370, Imd.
