Section 257.718 - Width of load carried on passenger type vehicle; violation as civil infraction(1) A passenger type vehicle shall not be operated on a highway with a load carried on the vehicle extending beyond the line of the fenders on the left side of the vehicle nor extending more than 6 inches beyond the line of the fenders on the right side of the vehicle.(2) A person who violates this section is responsible for a civil infraction.1949, Act 300, Eff. 9/23/1949 ;--Am. 1978, Act 510, Eff. 8/1/1979 .
