Section 18.1448 - Expenditure of state funds; availability of information on website homepages; "expenditure of state funds" defined(1) The department shall issue directives requiring all state agencies to provide the department with, and to make available through a link on their website homepages, all of the following information regarding the expenditure of state funds:(a) The name of the entity receiving the funds.(b) The amount of state funds.(c) The funding state agency.(d) A descriptive purpose of the funding action or expenditure.(e) Any other information required by the department.(2) Not later than January 1, 2013, the department shall develop and operate a searchable website accessible by the public at no cost to access the information provided in subsection (1).(3) Nothing in this section shall require the disclosure of information that is considered confidential by state or federal law.(4) As used in this section, "expenditure of state funds" means an expenditure of appropriated or nonappropriated funds processed through the state's central accounting system by an executive branch agency that includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:(b) Contracts and subcontracts.Added by 2012, Act 381,s 1, eff. 12/19/2012.
