Section 18533 - State participation in compact1.Participation requirements. To participate in the compact, a state must:A. License physician assistants; [2023, c. 670, §1 (NEW).]B. Participate in the commission's data system; [2023, c. 670, §1 (NEW).]C. Have a mechanism in place for receiving and investigating complaints against licensees and license applicants; [2023, c. 670, §1 (NEW).]D. Notify the commission, in compliance with the terms of this compact and commission rules, of any adverse action against a licensee or license applicant and the existence of significant investigative information regarding a licensee or license applicant; [2023, c. 670, §1 (NEW).]E. Fully implement, within a time frame established by commission rule, a criminal background check requirement by its licensing board receiving the results of a criminal background check and reporting to the commission whether the license applicant has been granted a license; [2023, c. 670, §1 (NEW).]F. Comply with the rules of the commission; [2023, c. 670, §1 (NEW).]G. Use passage of a recognized national examination as a requirement for physician assistant licensure; and [2023, c. 670, §1 (NEW).]H. 2.No prohibition on fee for compact privilege. Nothing in this compact prohibits a participating state from charging a fee for granting the compact privilege. [2023, c. 670, §1 (NEW).]
