1.Execution upon delivery. When a new vehicle is delivered by a manufacturer or importer to an agent or a franchised dealer, the manufacturer or the importer shall execute and deliver a certificate of origin. [1993, c. 683, Pt. A, §2(NEW); 1993, c. 683, Pt. B, §5(AFF).]
2.Certificate of origin required. A person may not bring into this State a new vehicle, unless that person possesses the certificate of origin. The certificate of origin must be a secure document. [1995, c. 482, Pt. A, §10(AMD).]

A general description of the body; [1993, c. 683, Pt. A, §2(NEW); 1993, c. 683, Pt. B, §5(AFF).]E. The model year designation; and [1993, c. 683, Pt. A, §2(NEW); 1993, c. 683, Pt. B, §5(AFF).]F. 4.Sale. When a new vehicle is sold, the seller shall execute and deliver to the purchaser an assignment of the certificate of origin with the names and the business or residence addresses of both. The seller shall certify that the assignment was executed with full knowledge of the contents by and with the consent of both purchaser and seller. [1993, c. 683, Pt. A, §2(NEW); 1993, c. 683, Pt.
