Section 2594 - [Repealed]Amended by 2015, c. 118,§ 1, eff. 10/15/2015.Added by 2014, c. 436,§ 1, eff. 30 days after the date of the Commissioner of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry's certification that legislation requiring mandatory labeling of genetically engineered food has been adopted by at least 5 contiguous states including Maine.Because certification was not received before 1/1/2018, as required by the contingency, the act was repealed on 1/1/2018, and Title 22, chapter 565 never took effect.
