Section 40:34.1 - Original birth certificate; required contentsA. An original birth certificate shall contain, as a minimum, the items provided in R.S. 40:34.2 through 34.9.B. In the case of a child born of a surrogate birth parent as a result of an enforceable gestational carrier contract, as provided in R.S. 9:2720, the biological parents shall be considered the parents of the child.La.
