Section 37:1522 - License without examinationA. The board may issue a license without a written examination to a qualified applicant who furnishes satisfactory proof that he is a graduate of a veterinary school and who: (1) Has been for the five years immediately prior to filing his application a practicing veterinarian licensed in a state, territory, or district of the United States having license requirements, at the time the applicant was first licensed, which were substantially equivalent to the requirements of this Chapter; or(2) Has successfully completed within the five years immediately prior to filing this application, all national examinations required of first-time applicants in rules prescribed by the board.B.
