Section 37:1329 - Construction of provisionsA. The provisions of this Part shall not authorize any individual to practice medicine, surgery, osteopathy, or midwifery or to provide the services of a physician licensed to practice medicine, surgery, or osteopathy by the board. The provisions of this Part shall not be construed to repeal or in any manner affect the provisions of any law relating to the practice of medicine, surgery, osteopathy, or midwifery.B. Nothing in this Part shall be construed to regulate any health care provider, certified or licensed by the state or otherwise exempted by the board, when acting within the scope of his practice.Acts 1993, No. 396, §2, eff.
