Section 30:101.4 - Fishermen's Gear Compensation and Underwater Obstruction Removal ProgramA. The Fishermen's Gear Compensation and Underwater Obstruction Removal Program is hereby created within the office of the secretary of the Department of Energy and Natural Resources and shall be administered, for purposes of fishermen's gear compensation, by the assistant secretary of the office of coastal management and, for purposes of underwater obstruction, by the assistant secretary of the office of conservation.B. The assistant secretary shall adopt rules and regulations, in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, to implement the provisions of this Part and to provide for procedures for the identification, inventory, and removal of underwater obstructions to navigation and commercial fishing.Acts 1997, No. 666, §2; Acts 2022, No. 100, §2, eff.
