Section 29:725.2 - Confidentiality of certain recordsA.(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, records in the custody of the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness containing certain security sensitive information which shall be the same type of information as described in R.S. 44:3.1 and 3.2 shall be deemed confidential.(2) Such nondisclosure shall not apply to necessary use by duly authorized officers or employees of state, federal, or local government in carrying out their responsibilities as provided by applicable state law or applicable federal law.B. The provisions of this Section shall not prevent any person from examining and copying any books, records, papers, accounts, or other documents of the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, except as provided in Subsection A of this Section. Such records shall not be subject to the provisions of R.S. 44:5.C. If a public record is applied for during an imminent threat of a disaster or emergency or during a disaster or emergency, the office shall immediately notify the requestor as to the reasons why such record shall not be immediately available.Acts 2006, No. 442, §1, eff.
