Section 27:75 - Renewal of licenses; penaltiesA. Subject to the power of the board to deny, revoke, suspend, condition, or limit licenses, any license in force may be renewed by the board for the next succeeding period upon proper application for renewal and payment of license fees as required by law and the rules and regulations of the board. The board shall act upon any such application no later than thirty days prior to the date of expiration of the current license.B. Application for renewal of all licenses, and all applicable license fees, shall be filed with the board no later than sixty days prior to the expiration of the current license.C. Any person failing to pay any license fee due at the time provided shall pay, in addition to such license fee, a penalty of not less than twenty-five dollars or twenty-five percent of the amount due, whichever is the greater. The penalty shall be collected as are other charges, license fees, and penalties under this Chapter.D. Upon renewal of any license, the board shall issue an appropriate renewal certificate or validating device or sticker, which shall be attached to each license so renewed.E. Any person who operates or offers any game, gaming device, or slot machine, or who manufactures, supplies, or distributes any gaming device, equipment, material, or machine used in gaming, after his license has expired, may upon conviction be imprisoned for not more than six months or fined not more than five hundred dollars, or both, and, in addition to the penalties provided by law, is liable to the state of Louisiana for all license fees and penalties which would have been due upon application for renewal.F.
