Section 24:775 - Commissioner of insurance; reports to legislatureA. The commissioner of insurance shall, at least twice each calendar year, report to the Senate and House committees on insurance relative to insurance regulation in this state.B. The report shall include information and data about licensure, solvency of insurers, IRIS reports, and such other information as the commissioner may deem appropriate or as the committee may request.C. The commissioner shall furnish the committee with all information and data which the committee requests except for any such information which is privileged or confidential by law.D. The committee may meet at any time it deems appropriate to receive a report from the commissioner.E. The committee may meet in executive session, and such sessions shall be exempt from the laws regulating open meetings for matters concerning the IRIS reports and company insolvencies, and other matters pertaining thereto.La.
