Section 13:5542 - Equipment of sheriffs and deputiesA. Police juries may provide the sheriffs and deputy sheriffs of their respective parishes with radio patrol cars and other equipment, arms, and ammunition in aid of law enforcement, and may maintain the same.B. The equipment, arms, and ammunition shall be entrusted to the sheriff.
