Section 11:951.2 - Name and establishment of retirement systemA. A retirement system for the purpose of providing retirement allowances and other benefits for employees of the Orleans Parish School Board is created and established under the corporate name of the Orleans Parish School Employees' Retirement System and as such shall exercise all the rights, powers and privileges granted by law to corporations, and by such name all of its business shall be transacted, all of its funds invested, and all its cash, securities and other property shall be held.B. The effective date of the establishment of the retirement system shall be determined by the Orleans Parish School Board which date shall be not later than July 31, 1948.La.
