Section 11:176 - Operating budget approvalA. Each state and statewide public retirement system shall submit its proposed annual operating budget to the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget for its review.B. The operating budgets of state public retirement systems shall be subject to the approval of the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget. At no time shall a state public retirement system make any expenditures or obligate itself for items which deviate from its approved operating budget.C.(1) A state public retirement system may submit a proposed modification to its approved annual operating budget to the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget for its review and approval at any time during the course of the fiscal year.(2) A statewide public retirement system shall submit any modification to its annual operating budget proposed at any time during the course of the fiscal year to the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget for its review.La.
