Section 1468 - Informal voluntary admissionA. In the discretion of the director, any minor with mental illness or minor suffering from substance abuse, who is sixteen years of age or older and who desires admission to a treatment facility for diagnosis or treatment of a psychiatric disorder or substance abuse, may be admitted upon the minor patient's request without a formal application.B. Any minor patient admitted pursuant to this Article shall have the right to leave the treatment facility at any time during the normal day-shift hours of operation, which shall include but not be limited to nine a.m. to five p.m.Acts 1991, No. 235, §14, eff.
