(a) The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico is hereby authorized to collect the cost of the services which are rendered through mutual agreement to the federal government or to any department, agency, instrumentality, commission or administrative division of said government, for auditing the federal funds appropriated to the Government of Puerto Rico or to any of its departments, agencies, public corporations or municipalities.
The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico is further authorized to collect the cost of the services which are rendered, through mutual agreement, to the Government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or any of its departments, agencies, public corporations or municipalities, with respect to the auditing of federal funds.
(b) The amounts thus collected shall be deposited in the General Fund of the Treasury of Puerto Rico.
(c) The Comptroller of Puerto Rico, in his annual budgetary petitions, shall request that additional resources deemed necessary to carry out these audits.
