§ 119. First-aid room and dispensary

It shall be the obligation of the municipality in whose jurisdiction a consolidated school is situated, to provide an emergency room for first aid to the injured and a dispensary for the administration of first and most urgent relief to the sick. The said emergency room and dispensary shall be managed in the manner that the Rural Improvement Commission shall determine. The installation and the maintenance thereof shall be in charge of the municipalities whose jurisdiction, in whole or in part, shall be comprised within the jurisdiction of the consolidated rural school in such proportion as may be determined in equity by the Rural Improvement Commission. The Commission may advance the funds necessary for the erection and maintenance of the dispensaries and emergency rooms, and such advances shall be reimbursed to the commission by the Secretary of the Treasury of Puerto Rico out of any regular funds in his possession belonging to the interested municipality or municipalities.
