It shall be obligatory in rural schools for the male children from the age of twelve years, to receive theoretical and practical instruction in agriculture or in a trade or art of those which are taught in the said school. Exception is made in the case of physical disability duly established through a medical certificate to the supervisor of the school. It shall be obligatory for the female pupils, subject to the same exception hereinabove established, to study domestic science.
