The Committee shall operate with resources appropriated thereto by the Office of the Governor or by the agencies that, as provided in this chapter, are required to provide assistance and support to the Committee so that it may carry out its purposes. In addition to the Department of Transportation and Public Works, public corporations whose appointed officials are members of the Committee may contribute funds to defray the Committee’s expenses. The funding for its operation during Fiscal Year 2010-2011 shall arise from the contributions of the public corporations. The monies thus collected shall be covered into a special fund under the custody of the Department of Transportation and Public Works. The monies covered into such fund may be used for the implementation of this chapter.
If necessary, additional funds for the implementation of this chapter shall be included in the budget request of the Office of the Governor beginning in Fiscal Year 2011-2012.
