P.R. Laws tit. 23, § 1143
It is hereby provided that any certification, permit, license authorization, or other document required by law to a business, trade, or industry that is, in turn, required to be displayed by such business, trade, or industry in the facilities thereof shall be replaced by a single certification that shall include a digital code to be known as the Fiscal Information and Permit Control, hereinafter the FIPC.
The FIPC certificate shall be displayed in a conspicuous place at the facilities of a trade or business. In addition, it shall be mandatory that the digital code containing all the information of the FIPC be displayed on the door at the main entrance of the business, trade, or industry.
The Permit Management Office shall prescribe by regulations, circular letter, or administrative order all that pertains to, without it being construed as a limitation, the size, display, place, and technology of the FICP.
