(a) The Planning Board is hereby directed to urgently commence the corresponding procedure to declare as a historical monument, “La Casita Verde”, the name given in the city of Caguas to the house where the illustrious Puerto Rican writer Don Abelardo Díaz-Alfaro was born and lived for many years.
(b) The Planning Board shall immediately initiate the necessary procedures for the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture to acquire the house where Don Abelardo Díaz-Alfaro was born and lived, known as “La Casita Verde”, located on the corner of Monseñor Berríos and Acosta Streets in the Savarona Sector of the Municipality of Caguas.
(c) The Planning Board shall submit a report to the Legislature on the efforts and procedures it has made to attain the purposes of the bill, together with its conclusions and recommendations, within a term not greater than sixty (60) days from the date of approval of this act.
