P.R. Laws tit. 23, § 229b
(a) The building of Casa de la Cultura “Antigua Casa Alcaldía”, located at #18 Muñoz-Rivera Street in the Municipality of Yabucoa, is hereby declared a Historic Site.
(b) The Planning Board, in coordination with the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture and the Historic Conservation Office, and with the endorsement of the latter, shall take all the necessary actions so that the building of Casa de la Cultura “Antigua Casa Alcaldía” is registered in the National Register of Historic Places of the United States of America, pursuant to Regulation No. 5 of 2002, as amended, entitled “Regulations for the Designation, Registration, and Conservation of Historic Sites and Zones in Puerto Rico”.
(c) The Municipality of Yabucoa shall take all the administrative measures possible and necessary, within its financial capacity, to recover, conserve, preserve, and maintain under its custody the building of Casa de la Cultura “Antigua Casa Alcaldía” for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
