§ 227b. External Advisory Council

The Land-Use Plan Office created by virtue of § 227 of this title, shall be empowered to designate an External Advisory Council that shall advise said Office on the preparation, introduction, implementation and monitoring of the Plan.

The members of the External Advisory Council shall not collect per diems for their work with the aforementioned Council and shall provide their services ad honorem. In the case of institutions and persons of the private sector, their participation shall be of a voluntary nature.

The Land-Use Plan Office may designate any person or institution it believes convenient, to achieve the objectives of this chapter, always ensuring that said person or institution shall be an advisory entity that would equitably and proportionally represent the various sectors of our country interested in land use planning, the conservation of our natural resources and in promoting our sustainable development.

The Land-Use Plan Office shall implement the necessary measures to ensure compliance with the body of laws in effect in matters relative to the access to privileged information and the possibility of conflicts of interest.
