§ 226k. Interagency Task Force

A Special Interagency Task Force for Santurce of indefinite duration is hereby created which shall be constituted by the government agencies and dependencies indicated below, and which shall be presided over and coordinated by the Planning Board. This Interagency Task Force shall coordinate solutions to situations and problems related to the rendering of public services, application of regulations, granting of permits and application of laws in Santurce ward.

The public agencies and dependencies that will constitute this Interagency Task Force are: the Municipality of San Juan, the Puerto Rico Police, the Permit Management Office, the Department of Health, the Planning Board, the Department of Transportation and Public Works, the Department of Consumer Affairs. the Electric Power Authority, the Department of Housing, the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority, the University of Puerto Rico, the Municipal Revenues Collection Center, the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, the Commonwealth Historic Preservation Office and any other agency that the Planning Board or the Interagency Task Force deems should participate in a special way to said body. The citizenry of Santurce shall be entitled to request a special meeting with the Interagency Task Force by request of twenty-five (25) persons who reside or have bona fide businesses in Santurce.

The Interagency Task Force shall report annually to the presidents of both legislative bodies on their actions and achievements. The report shall include details of the problems and conditions in Santurce with which it has dealt, the strategies adopted and solutions obtained, the priorities, work plans, and problems that have not been resolved, its achievements and suggestions for legislative reforms.
