§ 51. Procedure on building appeals—Summons; penalty for failure to appear

The marshals of the Court of First Instance of Puerto Rico shall serve the summonses issued by the Chairman of the Planning Board.

Any person who fails to appear before the Board after being summoned under the provisions of §§ 51 and 52 of this title, or who fails to comply with any order or directive entered by the Planning Board in the exercise of its functions, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than twenty-five dollars ($25) or by imprisonment in jail for not more than five (5) days, or by both penalties, in the discretion of the court hearing the case.
