§ 949. Statement of purpose

This chapter establishes the requirements that must be met by all persons who aspire to obtain a license issued by the Commissioner to engage in the insurance business in Puerto Rico. It also establishes the procedure to issue licenses to said persons, as well as for the renewal, denial, suspension and revocation of said licenses. This section also includes certain general standards pertinent to the transaction of insurance policies and the payment of commissions.
