If any policy is issued by a domestic insurer for delivery to a person residing in another state or country, and if the insurance commissioner or corresponding public official of such other state or country has advised the Commissioner in Puerto Rico that any such policy is not subject to approval or disapproval by such official, the Commissioner may by ruling require that such policy meet the applicable standards set forth in this chapter and in §§ 1101–1137 of this title.
