§ 6675. Agreement of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico with the bondholders

The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico hereby commits itself and agrees with the holders of any bonds issued under this chapter, and with the persons or entities that enter into contracts with an association according to the provisions of this chapter, that it shall not limit nor alter the rights hereby conferred to the associations until said bonds and the interest thereon are fully settled and said contracts are fully complied with and honored by the associations; Provided, however, That nothing that is provided herein shall affect and alter said limitation if adequate measures are provided for the protection of said holders of the bonds of the associations or of those who have entered into contracts with the associations. The associations, acting as agents of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, are hereby authorized to include this promise of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico on said bonds or contracts.
